I’m Bry Bry! I live in Irvine, CA where I data and science.

I've always loved figuring out how things work. As a kid, I would take everything apart to try to understand what made them tick. When I was in sixth grade, I decided to try building something instead - a robot for the science fair. Around the same time, I read a Discover article about black holes. Since I couldn't take black holes apart (or build them), I decided I was going to get a PhD in physics instead.

The PhD taught me many things, but one of the most important was that I didn't want to be an academic. I started teaching, following the example of the many people who had a huge impact on my life. At first, it was just physics, but I quickly expanded into statistics, robotics, and coding. Obsessed with getting better, I started a master's in computer science from Georgia Tech. That's where I discovered the field of data science. The moment I dove into it, I knew: This is it.

I quickly enrolled in a bootcamp at Galvanize, which launched my data science career. My first role was at a FinTech startup in Orange County, where I built data and marketing models that directly drove revenue growth. Since then, I've had the privilege of working at some of the largest tech companies in the world, including Facebook, Reddit, and Google. Through these experiences, I've gained a healthy appreciation for the value of experimentation over ad-hoc analysis, seeing firsthand the difference it makes in long-term impact. Across my roles, I've designed and analyzed thousands of experiments, built data pipelines, tools, and packages, contributed to increasing billions of dollars in revenue, and driven strategic decisions that deliver measurable results.

Today, I'm combining my background in data science, education, and leadership to live a richer life in Orange County. Whether I'm socializing, building tools, consulting, or teaching others how to navigate the ever-evolving world of data, my goal is always the same: to make the complex simple and empower others to succeed.
